Rhode Island for Marriage

Now is the Time

House bill 5015 threatens to fundamentally redefine marriage, the most basic building block of civil society in Rhode Island. Now is the time to take action to protect family.

Under Rhode Island’s civil union law, gay couples have all the same rights, recognition and respect as married couples.  Marriage between one man and one woman is the only union that can produce children in a stable family environment, and this aspect of marriage should not be written out of the definition of marriage.

A vote on this bill will occur very soon.  Don’t delay, contact your representative today and tell them to VOTE NO on House bill 5015.  Same-sex marriage would set a precedent that places what adults want for themselves above what is best for children, and it is wrong for Rhode Island.  Act now!
