Rhode Island for Marriage

Progressive Agitators Drum Up More Support For Their Economic Subterfuge

Apparently the same-sex ‘marriage’ lobby is under the impression that the people of Rhode Island aren’t smart enough to do basic math.  At least that’s what their continued efforts to support an economic argument would suggest.  There is a mountain of evidence that indicates the most economical decision for Rhode Island is to protect marriage as one man and one woman.  That’s not stopping governor Lincoln Chafee, the Progressive Lobby and MSNBC from lying about it though.

This economic argument didn’t really get legs until NOM Rhode Island published the findings of a statewide survey showing that 78% of voters in Rhode Island want the opportunity to have their voice heard on the issue of marriage.  It also found that 55% of voters would prefer that the General Assembly focus on the economy instead of same-sex ‘marriage’.

It appears that same-sex ‘marriage’ activists are all too eager to take this statistic to heart:

While trash talking QEV Analytics and their entire research method for this one:

But nobody acts on data unless they believe it to be accurate.  And the same-sex ‘marriage’ lobby is going all out with their subterfuge about the economy.  So they clearly believe the results of the QEV Analytics survey of RI voters.

Now lobbyists are celebrating a “list of 60 business leaders” that have voiced support for redefining marriage, as if this is further proof that it would bolster the economy.  There is only one problem with that line of thought.  According to Manta.com, Rhode Island is home to 95,269 companies.  Thus getting just 60 “business leaders” to sign onto the redefinition of marriage is laughable.  The highly influential and well-funded same-sex ‘marriage’ lobby found only 60 people or 0.06% of companies in Rhode Island who would attach their name to the cause.  How is this newsworthy?

Even if all 60 companies were among the top 1% of businesses in Rhode Island, it would still only be the unofficial voice of 6% of the business community.  These people do not speak on behalf of the business community of Rhode Island, and their opinion about an economic benefit of redefining marriage is once again derailed by the facts.
