New legislation could be introduced in Rhode Island as soon as today that would legalize same-sex ‘marriage.’

Rep. Arthur Handy of Cranston is the lead sponsor of the bill, and he is expected to seek support from openly gay House Speaker Gordon Fox.

Similar legislation was attempted in 2020 resulting in a stalemate.  However, Rhode Island lawmakers, trying to ride the wave of the 2012 election, are hastily trying to push through this new legislation.
